Francesco Rizzi (aka Francino) was born in Campobasso on July 28th 1971. Graduated in law, after a short exhibition in Pavia, he returned to the capital of Molise and, following the meeting with the painter Antonio D’Attellis, decided to dedicate himself to painting. His first solo exhibition was in 1998 and he participated in: Arte Fiera in Cremona and Padua (1999), Arte-Expo in New York (2000), and personal exhibition in Prague (2001). In 2017 he exhibited in important galleries in Germany and Denmark such as that of Paul Sties in Frankfurt and the Gallery X in Copenhagen. In 2018 he exhibited in Isernia at the Galleria Arte Petrecca with “Francino Evolution”. He lives and works in Campobasso.<\/p>\n
“Francino – writes Carmen D’Antonino – is a student of the artist Antonio D’Attellis, whose trait is recognizable in the paintings of his most classic figurative phase, despite the evident desire for innovation in pictorial themes and in the use of materials : from the canvas to jute, to intertwined ribbons that capture the image by delivering an amazing result of three-dimensionality and dynamism to the observer’s eye, combined with a strongly material chromatic harmony. The instinctive bond with nature is profound and makes it a refined “vedutist”, just as its portraiture stage is no less interesting and delicate. Finally, it can be said that Francino is a connoisseur of the history of painting: it can be seen from the strong references to the great masters of the twentieth century, updated in an extremely modern art, with a contemporary reinterpretation “.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
